Welcome to the first week of 2026. The week of resolutions, fresh promises, and quiet pressure to suddenly become a better version of yourself.
For many women, this pressure isn’t just emotional, it’s biological. Research shows women process stress differently to men, with higher oxytocin and cortisol responses, meaning we’re more likely to internalise pressure, carry emotional load, and push through exhaustion.
Over time, this pattern is linked to burnout and anxiety. So instead of starting the year by demanding more of yourself, what if you began with kindness?
Just a few minutes of daily mindfulness has been shown to lower cortisol, calm the nervous system, and even increase grey matter in the parts of the brain linked to focus and compassion.
Node Wellbeing isn’t about adding another thing to your to-do list. It’s about giving you simple tools to come back to yourself.
This year, don’t pledge restriction. Pledge growth, not by taking things away, but by adding calm. Meditation and mindfulness, made by women, for women.

It's easy to be swept up in the chaos of new year energy. Everywhere you turn there are vision boards, promises, resolutions and fresh hopes. And whilst I do have hope for 2026—clear visions of where Node will take both myself and those who have pledged to grow alongside us—I've also decided something different this year.
I'm working with my body and the seasons. My new start will come in Spring 2026, when the ground warms and the light returns. Until then, winter demands something else: kindness, compassion, and above all, clarity.
